Supporting Communities & Managing Wildlife

The Wild Harvest Food Project works with local farmers to responsibly manage deer populations across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire - turning a growing problem into a vital food source for people facing hardship.

What We Do

We provide a practical, ethical solution to two growing challenges: rising deer populations and increasing food insecurity.

By working with local landowners and farmers, we safely and humanely manage deer numbers. The meat is then professionally processed and distributed to food banks and community organisations, helping to feed people who need it most.

Why It Matters

Supporting Local People

Nutritious, high-quality venison reaches individuals and families struggling with rising food costs.

Help Farmers & Landowners

Reduce crop damage and protect land from overgrazing.

Improve Road Safety

Fewer deer means fewer dangerous and costly road collisions.

Ethical & Sustainable

Every animal is respectfully sourced, with nothing going to waste.

The Impact

What was once an unmanaged problem becomes a powerful force for good, supporting communities, protecting livelihoods, and improving safety across the region.
